Windows 11 Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.963)

Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(j)

I've been cleaning up my PC and found some log files/folders, all of which seem to relate to Kaspersky and the Edge browser. I'm unable to delete them, and despite trying to take ownership and grant myself access rights, I cannot get anywhere. Trying to take ownership fails.

The items are in:

 C:\Program Data\Kaspersky Lab\SafeBrowser\Common\S-1-5-21-1379599756-1977096553-751066661-1001\EdgeChromium\Default\many different sub-folders.

(See attached screen shot)

I would just like to be able to delete the things.

Can anyone help?

Hello @jameswesthead, Welcome.

This files are not redundant log files. It is data created by the safe browser.
You can delete them only if you temporarily disable self-protection in your KIS.
But the next time you start the safe browser, they will be created again. So deleting them only makes sense if you don't use safe browser.
