Thunderbird access to messages blocked by Kaspersky Total Security

Two weeks ago, had a new problem with Kaspersky blocking access to SodaPDF servers to authenticate license. Problem did not exist before and, suddenly, this new problem. Problem solved by the people at SodaPDF and help from Kaspersky was minimal

Now, this time, a new problem which never happened before: it is now blocking access to mail messages within Thunderbird. Have to exit Kaspersky so Thunderbird would download messages.

Any solutions to this problem?

Just renewed license for 2 years but, if Kaspersky is generating new problems, will desinstall & ask for a refund...
