Security Cloud Free Install Location

My SSD’s expected life is declining rapidly! One of the culprits for doing consistent writes to the drive appears to be Security Cloud.

For this reason, I would like to install Security Cloud to a drive other than C:, but there doesn’t appear to be the option at install time.

Is there an easy way to do this, or do I have to create a soft link for C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\ to point to another drive before install?

@shakeshuck Welcome.

Kaspersky needs to be installed on the drive where the operating system is located.

I see.

I tried to use soft links, but Kaspersky just deleted them.

Perhaps there could be an option to move temporary files away from C: ? I’m guessing that’s where most of the traffic is coming from?
