"Search-sprint.com" malware virus

Malware called "search-sprint.com" virus have attacked my chrome  and have lost the connetivity to the Internet.

 Kaspersky scan and the tools have not helped 

Can any one please highlight how it can be resolved.

That looks like a Browser Hijacker, it may change the browser homepage, search engine without user permission.

 

Try resetting your web browser settings:

Thanks for the info.

 I tried that but the problem is still there.

I removed chrome and reinstalled with the same problem. Also amended the start up but it wont work.

Try this:

 

Download tool Adwcleaner, run it but don't fix or remove anything, 1st copy/paste the result log here in Your next post.

Ok, click on Next quarantine all the detected items.

have quarantined items that were detected.

Again it has not made any changes to the access to Chrome.

Further to above i have rescanned and restarted  but the problem is still there.

did the process again and found that there is 2 items that cannot be deleted.

Close all the browsers before running the scan and quarantine. Remove those 2 items also.

Those 2 items cannot be deleted. I have tried to quarantine them but...... when i  rescan it is still there.

Also attach a page for when i click on the chrome tab. Note it says "untitled" in the top LHS of the window.

Check in Your Windows Control Panel -> Programs and features, if suspicious apps installed.

 

Also, do You have Synchronization enabled in Chrome? If so, disable it.

I have disabled microsft Sync and reset Network ... have not solved the problem.

Are You getting the same behavior with FireFox?

Please try to completely uninstall Google Chrome:

 

1.- Go to Windows Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> find Chrome and uninstall.

 

2. Go to these locations:

 

C:\Users\<Your User Account>\AppData\Local\Google\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\

 

C:\Program Files\Google\

 

 

 

3. And delete those Google folders.

I have completely removed google from my pc.

Tried to reinstall chrome but did not load came up with the following

"update check error: The connection with the server was terminated abnormally"

Tried several times with the same message.

have done it with both the modem and the PC switched off and on still the same error when installing google chrome.

I have managed to install chrome for multi user which worked the single user did not install. but it does not work at second level.

ie. when i search in the search bar i get plenty results listed below.

 then when i click one of the results for reaching that particular site  there is no connection with a message "site cant be reached".
