Scheduled Scan / On-demand Scan for ICAP Storage

Good Afternoon Colleagues

I hope you are doing well . May i know if i can use  Kaspersky Security for Windows Server with Storage license to perform the below - When integrating with ICAP Storage - :

  • Scheduled Scan
  • On-demand Scan

But Ksws for storage will be in EOL soon : https://support.kaspersky.com/corporate/lifecycle?id=ksws-11.0.1.897-for-storage

Hello Ahnaf

I couldn't find anything related to ICAP Storage on demand scanning in this link . Only online storage file scanning like Onedrive.

 

So kindly advice.

As far as I know ICAP (Internet Content Adaptation Protocol) is not a type of storage itself, but rather a protocol used to facilitate content processing, adaptation, and security for data stored on or passing through network devices.

In the context of storage, "ICAP storage" typically refers to a network-attached storage (NAS) system or another type of storage device that is an "ICAP client." This means the storage device can use the ICAP protocol to offload tasks to a specialized "ICAP server." To secure NAS we use KSWS and which may eventually need to be migrated to Keswin 12.10 .

Thx for your reply . I need you opinion for the below issue

We have deployed  Kaspersky Security for Windows Server with Storage license and integrated it with the Nutanix Files through ICAP. During testing with the EICAR test file, Kaspersky did not detect the file but it continues to register the files being sent from Nutanix but no detection results are being generated.

Please share some screenshots, what you are doing and how you are testing with eichar files, is there any exclusion rules
