scanning zip files and emails with kaspersky total

i have the latest kasperky total product and never have warned about a virus. Today i scanned my pc with hitman pro and found a troyan which was in a zip file. i put kaspersky to scan zip files but it asks me for a password i don’t know. 

1. What to do?
2. Why kaspersky doesn;t do this automatically (scan inside emails and zip files without getting to its settings telling it to do so)?

Welcome. 

In FILE ANTIVIRUS and MAIL settings in kaspersky are options (checkboxes - scan archives, zip, jar etc) if you wish scan it.

What about infected zipped file with password i dont know.?It cannot been scanned

If you have archive with password kaspersky not scanning it (i have also some archives with password).

you can do :

-delte archive (when you downloaded from internet and you are not sure what is inside)

-send this archive specialist from kaspersky or sacan here https://opentip.kaspersky.com/
