I received an email via Chrome that has a suspicious subject line. How do I scan that individual email?

Hello @KManDan,

Welcome!

KTS Mail Anti-Virus & Anti-Spam are for installed  Microsoft Outlook applications only.

As per Kaspersky Technical Support

quote:

Mail Anti-Virus Anti-Spam: active Outlook application versions currently circulated, are supported

end quote

  • Suspicious emails accessed via web browsers are not managed by Kaspersky AV software.

Thank you🙏

Then I need to reevaluate my use of Kaspersky if it’s only fulfilling some of my needs some of the time. This screen copy from KTS doesn’t say a thing about any limitations as to brand of email.

Hello @KManDan,

Thank you for replying👌

I happen to agree with you, sometimes, information is not easily found, however:

Configuring Mail Anti-Virus
Kaspersky Total Security allows scanning email messages for dangerous objects by using Mail Anti-Virus. Mail Anti-Virus starts when the operating system is started and remains constantly in the RAM of the computer, scanning all email messages, sent or received over POP3, SMTP, IMAP, and NNTP protocols, as well as via encrypted connections (SSL) over POP3, SMTP, and IMAP protocols.

  • All Kaspersky software has circled green in my image, selecting the will open a browser to a Kaspersky Help document, specific to the window of the application, being queried.

Thank you🙏
