Scan.Generic.PortScan.TCP attack was blocked

Today, my Kaspersky Total Security notified me that my system suffered a unique attempt of PortScan attacking (on the port number 50000). KS said that the attack was blocked, then I tried to search the IP Address of the attacker’s computer to Geolocation it, but it came from a private IP (192.168.0.16). Can anybody help me? Is my PC safe? Maybe was it only an error or a false positive attempt? Maybe could it be my own internet modem?

Hello @iages

Welcome!

  1. If you’re not using Kaspersky Total Security, version 21.2.16.590, patch(a) & (b), update & recheck?
  2. The Kaspersky software has blocked the port scan attempt: it may be a legitimate detection or a false positive, to find out: log a case with Kaspersky Technical Support,  follow the template image as a guide. Include as much information as possible, save the KTS report (you posted as an image), as a text file, attach to the request, images & or a video - if they help show the problem & the URL/link to this Community topic. Support may ask for traces & other data, they will guide you:

  • After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.

Please share the outcome, with the community, when it’s available?

Thank you🙏

Also, that local 192.168.0.16 comes from a device connected to Your local network, there are free some tools to discover which devices are connected to Your network (I use Wireless NetWork Watcher), this way You can check the config and the applications in that device, probably one application in that device is causing that attack...
