Sandbox - Secure Browser & Secure Desktop

I recall Kaspersky having Secure Browser (which is now called Safe Money) and Secure Desktop. These ran in a ‘sandboxed’ environment not allowing viruses to infect the ‘real’ computer.

 

Why were these both abondoned ? Especially the Secure Desktop ?

I personally, found these to be excellent at fighting virus infections.

@celsurf Kaspersky dropped the Sandbox mode in the 2013 version because of several reasons such as a high CPU consumption and also issues related with regular Windows OS updates.

Actually Kaspersky Safe Money is providing a Browser environment protection,

With CPU’s getting incredibly fast compared to 2013, would Kaspersky consider bringing back that option ?
