Renewal of older version of Total Security 19.0.0.1088(n) on XP.

My Kaspersky Total Security licence for 3 devices is due for renewal. One of those devices is a PC that still runs Windows XP. The Kaspersky version on this PC is 19.0.0.1088(n).

If I purchase another 1 year licence for Kaspersky Total Security, I hope that this will simply add another year to the old Kaspersky Total Security version on my PC that runs Windows XP, and not require me to try to update to the latest version of Total Security 2021 that requires Windows 7 or later. Please confirm that this should happen.

Windows XP is not supported: Kaspersky Total Security (KTS) hardware and software requirements. 

Kaspersky has implemented forced version updates, that translates to, Kaspersky subscribers do not have a choice, when a new version is released, we get it when Kaspersky decides → needless to say, this “big stick” approach is not popular with many. 

However, we checked with a Kaspersky Technical Support Supervisor, he said:

1. “When a license is renewed, Kaspersky are updating the duration of the license, not the application. 
2. The database update will still update as normal for the 2019 version and if there are new patches for the 2019 version, it will also update as well.
3. If Kaspersky has a latest version and the operating system is not compatible with the latest version, it will not update the application to the latest version at all.
4. Windows XP is not supported by Microsoft, soon the KTS 2019 version and older will be obsolete.” 

• The Supervisor was unable to provide a v2019 obsolescence date.
