Question about Protection Engine & KSN in Kaspersky Free vs Paid

Hello everyone, I have a technical question regarding Kaspersky Free. Is the core Protection Engine (detection logic and signatures) exactly the same as the one used in the paid versions? Also, does the Free version connect to the same Kaspersky Security Network (KSN) with the same priority for real-time threat intelligence? In short, is the difference only in the "extra layers of protection" (like Firewall, Safe Money, etc.), or is there any difference in the core detection power itself?
