Protected browser opens new Amazon.com tabs repeatedly until a I stop it. I end up with many Amazon.com tabs.

I’m in a Kaspersky protected browser. I open a new tab and type Amazon.com. Kaspersky says that it needs to open a protected browser. Why? It’s already in  a protected browser.  Then it starts to open new Amazon.com tabs repeatedly until a I stop it. I end up with many  Amazon.com tabs.

I’m using google chrome  Version 86.0.4240.198 (Official Build) (64-bit)

The google chrome window was not initially protected but it became protected; not sure how

Windows that are opened as protected do not have this problem

Where can I find the Kaspersky version?

I ran adwcleaner and the problem went away
