persisting error: "Reboot is required to complete the disinfection"

currently running on windows 10 and KTS

 

from past 2 says I’m consistently getting notification and recommendation to reboot my computer to disinfect the virus, but i have rebooted it many times still the notification pops up very frequently.

 

also checked my log/report everything seems to be disinfected.

@RohanRao Welcome. Can you please try this :

  • Run CMD as ADMIN
  • Execute command  “rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin” (without quotes)
  • Close CMD > Reboot
  • Proceed with a full Kaspersky scan > Reboot

Hi @Berny,

I am currently experiencing the same problem and I am unable to fix the issue with the solution you provided. So, here’s what I did;

  • Ran  “rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin”
  • Ran  “rd /s /q D:\$Recycle.bin”
  • Ran  “rd /s /q E:\$Recycle.bin”
  • Close CMD + Reboot
  • Full Scan + Vulnerability Scan + Reboot

However, the problem is still there.
 


Is there any other ways I can try here?
Or any suggestion is appreciated.
