Hello,

if I buy Total security licence for one device, on how many devices will I be able to run Password manager?

Will I be able to install Password manager on multiple PCs even if I have Total Security licence only for one device?

Thanks.

Hello @espresso,

Welcome!

  • No.
  • A KTS 1 device, 1 user account license, includes 1 premium KPM application/vault.
  • If you wish to use KPM on other devices, you’ll need to purchase a KPM subscription or use the free KPM, the free version of KPM does everything the Premium version does, but it only allows you to store a maximum total of 15 entries. That’s a maximum total of 15 passwords and confidential documents – like your passport, driver’s license and bank cards – combined. Which means it only offers you limited password storage, and limited storage for your personal data too. To take advantage of unlimited storage, you need Kaspersky’s Premium version.

Thank you🙏

Thanks. So only standalone KPM licence offers installations on multiple devices?

So I presume it would be better to get Internet security for 1 device plus standalone KPM licence which can be used on multiple devices. I was interested in Total Security only because of the addition of KPM, by the way.

Hello @espresso,

You’re welcome🙂 !

  • Looking at Kaspersky® Password Manager on the UK site, it shows Unlimited devices.
  • Regarding KTS versus KIS, if the decision was based exclusively on KTS including KPM, then the KIS license / KPM license combination may suit you.
  • Some KPM tips:
  1. The KPM Master password is not stored & or known to Kaspersky, if it’s lost or forgotten it cannot be recovered, ever!
  2. If the KPM Master password cannot be remembered access to KPM vault and everything in it is impossible.
  3. Make regular KPM backups.
  4. Export KPM data before making any changes and or accepting KPM updates.
  5. Accepting the KPM Marketing statement is not mandatory, however, to Decline, it’s necessary to first Accept (which kinda makes it “temporarily” mandatory🙄 ) → see images

Hello @Ghastous,

Welcome!

  • Kaspersky Total Security includes premium Kaspersky Password Manager.

Some tips for working with Kaspersky Password Manager (KPM):

  1. Kaspersky does not know or record the Master password, ever; if you loose or forget the Master password it cannot be recovered, there are no tools available to recover the Master password; don’t loose it, don’t forget it.
  2. Use the KPM Backup feature before making any updates or changes.
  3. Don’t read fake news!

Thank you🙏

Put my key into the website for total security and then after i downloaded the application it then asked me if i wanted to add that which i have and then after the restarts its now saying i need to purchase it to use premium.

On the website its saying im using total security but KPM is only the free version and you have said it should be premium.

Hello @Ghastous,

You’re welcome!

  1. Shutdown the computer using full Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, make sure Kaspersky Total Security is active.
  2. From the KTS application, from the KTS Subscription window, select Go to MyKaspersky, make sure the KTS app synchronizes with the MyKaspersky account.
  3. Start a browser, log into the MyKaspersky account.
  4. Go to the Devices tab, it should appear similar to the following image

  • Please post an image of what you see?

Thank you🙏

Hello @Ghastous,

You’re welcome!

  1. Have you done steps 1 to 4 above?
  2. In the MyKaspersky account, Devices tab, select the tiny > arrow → image 1, select the tiny V arrow → image 2 - post an image of Installed apps?
  3. In the MyKaspersky account, go to the Licenses tab, select Kaspersky Total Security → image 3, select Details → image 4 - hide the Activation code & License Key - post an image?

Thank you🙏
