Outlook experienced a serious problem with the 'Kaspersky outlook anti-virus addin' add-in.

Over the last few weeks I've been seeing this error more and more. This is happening on different versions of Outlook from 2007 to 365 and all give the error that there is a problem with the add-in. If I say yes to turn the add-in off, then Outlook works fine. However this is not an issue I ever had with Kaspersky Security Cloud Free. Ironically, mine just updated to the new version on Monday and the first time I opened Outlook I got exactly the same message.

This is clearly an issue with the Kaspersky add-in and I hope it gets fixed soon. In the meantime, I'd like to know if disabling the add-in will compromise mail protection or does this add-in only affect the tab in options, which is the only difference I can find, not having it active.
