Macbook, Kaspersky plugin not working in Firefox browser installed in external drive mac

Hello,

I am using Macbook Pro M1 with Kaspersky internet security installed in it.

Everything works fine in safari, but, due to limited space on my internal drive, i have installed Firefox on a removable external ssd.

When i install plugin in Firefox, it asks me to run Kaspersky even though it is running in background.

Even Kaspersky is not able to detect the browser.

 

 

Am i doing something wrong here?

Just click on this link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/kaspersky-protection-2021/

it will install it to firefox directly.

So, I just had an online chat with someone from Kaspersky team and according to him, both the browser and Kaspersky has to be installed on the same drive.

It seems like Kaspersky on Mac is not that great.

I am stuck with safari for now.
