KTS UI problem, normal text is replaced with Header content.

Hi!

I'm having the following issue with Kaspersky Total Security (21.3.10.391 (f)) on Windows 8.1 64-bit:

Also, the Settings dialog (the last screenshot) doesn’t allow to change values for radiobuttons under IconSettingsHeader. This happened soon after the installation of the KTS, which found and cured “Trojan.Multi.BroSubsc.gen” (it infected System Memory).

Welcome!

  1. Create a Windows System Restore Point
  2. On the Windows Taskbar or hidden icons, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select Pause →  make sure the Window security popup: Virus protection is off, shows?
  3. On the Windows Taskbar or hidden icons, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select Exit.
  4. Change Windows to run in Safe Mode
  5. Go to: C:\Windows\Temp → delete all files & folders in C:\Windows\Temp
  6. Go to C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Temp →  delete all files & folders in C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Temp    ***USER = your name*** 
  7. Return to Windows normal mode.
  8. Go to Windows start screen:
  9. Uninstall KTS - save License information ONLY →  do not tick any other check boxes. 
  10. Shutdown machine using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login. 
  11. Download KTS installer
  12. Install KTS
  13. At the completion of KTS install, shutdown machine using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login. 
  14. Make sure KTS is started?
  15. Run a manual Database update →  allow it to complete?
  16. Run a manual Full scan → allow it to complete & do not use the computer while it's running. 
  17. Check KTS GUI, make sure it's normal, not corrupted (as in your images)? 
  18. IF the GUI remains corrupted, contact Kaspersky Technical Support; they will request Logs, Traces & other data → they will guide you.
