Hello !! I have a question. If i live in Greece (EU)  which i do and i have an EU activation key, does it matters which app version i downloaded ?? I mean there is eu, uk, us, us california, brazil, israel… etc versions of the KIS. Is there any restrictions about that to activate the product ??

Welcome back!

If you are in the territory of the European Union (EU)/ United Kingdom or in the country of Brazil and plan to use the software there, you must select ‘European Union’, 'United Kingdom' or ‘Brazil’ in the drop-down menu depending on your location. If you are a resident of the US state of California, you must select 'California' in the drop-down menu. This will ensure you download the software that is intended for your region.

During KIS installation, the Wizard prompts you to review the End User License Agreement concluded between you and Kaspersky.

Read the End User License Agreement thoroughly and, if you agree with all of its terms, click the Accept button. Installation of the application to your computer then continues.

If the terms of the End User License Agreement are not accepted, the application will not be installed.

In some regions, you must also accept the terms of the Privacy Policy to continue installation of the application.

Thank you for your reply, but this is not what im asking. Im asking if actually can activate the us/uk/brazil etc app, living in eu and having an eu key. Is the app versions region locked as the activate keys or not ?

• As you’re in the territory of the European Union (EU) and plan to use the software there, you must select ‘European Union’. 
• If software is purchased in the US, it must be activated in the US, ditto for any other country; for example: if you purchase the software when you’re in Taiwan, then travel to US & try to activate the software in the US, you’ll not be able to.  
• Once the software is activated, it can be used anywhere in the world. 
• We’ve previously seen various Community commentary stating: regional restrictions do not apply if the software is downloaded from the Global www, however, that’s not been our experience.

Ok !! But what about the global version, can use it instead of the eu ??

And a second question. If I moved to another country, from Greece to UK for example, and when the key expired, I must delete the current eu app and download the uk one ?? Otherwise it can't be re-activated ??

@bep1995 The global version has no regional restrictions and can be used and activated / re-activated anywhere
