KIS 2020 GDPR not ready? [Closed]

I understand that this is the final product since this is the only available at https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/internet-security I am trying to download the European Union version from that form, but after I execute the downloaded file is wrote that is not intended to be used in the EU. Also, I downloaded "Distribution Kit for PC" which should be GDPR-compliant, but I receive the same message. I installed the application and no consents were required. When will be available a GDPR compliant version for European Union? Thanks!

Hello Lucrian, welcome to the new forum. Probably you post from romania. A GDPR compliant version of the 2020 is only available in english language. Other language versions will probably be released by the end of august (or later).

Only the English version is available, but is not GDPR compliant on that page. I downloaded the package from Free Trial page and this is GDPR compliant (European Union version, of course).

What makes version 2020 (or even 2019) GDPR Compliant?

All you have to do is agree to two more questions about Kaspersky's data processing. You can reject one of them, but this is also possible in the global versions settings. There are no other differences to the global version

Downloading the EU version from UPDATE page: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/internet-security IS NOT intended to use in EU version. Downloading the EU version from TRIAL page: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/internet-security-free-trial IS intended to use in EU version. So, there is a problem with the package from UPDATE page when you select "The European Union" option. It is not downloaded a proper package. Also, if you download "Distribution Kit for PC", which should be GDPR compliant (so should be intended to be used in EU), you get the message that the version should not be used in the EU.

Hello all, Thank you for noticing this, we notified responsible persons. As mentioned above GDPR-compliant KIS version can be downloaded from trial page (https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/internet-security-free-trial). It's also possible to download, for example, GDPR-compliant KAV version (https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/antivirus), install it and activate with KIS activation code - in such case KAV will be converted to KIS.

Hello again, The problem is fixed, now GDPR-compliant build is downloaded from https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/internet-security (if 'The European Union' version is selected).

Good to know. Thank you. Unfortunately, the German GDPR-compliant version of KIS 2020 has not been released yet. Seems like we will have to wait for another three weeks.
