Kastersky Total Security 2020 deleting Garrys Mod HL2.exe; detected as UDS: Trojan.Win32:Badur

Hi

Today I got a pop up message from  Total security that Garrys MOD HL2.exe had been deleted.

Kaspersky identifies the HL2.exe in the Garrys MOD folder as  UDS: Trojan.Win32:Badur

When I download the file again through Steam (verifying the integrity of the gamefiles) HL2 is blocked.

Why is that?

Welcome. As bypass you could temporary disable the Kaspersky interactive protection and trust the object , but a safer option is to contact K-Lab Technical Support who will confirm or disapprove a FP.
