Kaspersky Vault versus ransomware

I have the latest Kaspersky Total Security programme installed on my pc (2021). I chose the total security to use the Vault feature. My question is: If I got affected by ransomware, will it damage my files in Vault or the Vault file will be damaged/inaccessible?

@Muhannad Welcome. Your local Vault  can be affected, the primary  recommendation is to always keep backups on disconnected devices.

I would also change the default C:\ root folder for the Vault and even the name, many ransomware starts the attack in root folder of drives (C:\ D:\ ...) and in alphabetical order…

 

Update: also You can restrict the rights of the Vault folder via Manage Resources in Application Control, creating a new Category called Protected Folders, for example, and adding there the folders to protect, for more info check:
