I do not authorize the installation of software on my computer without my prior approval.  If I find anything from Ultra AV on my computer, I will be reporting it to the FBI.  Should I be billed now or in the future, I will be reporting the fraudulent transaction to my financial instutution.  Any unauthorized aned unwanted installation of files or apps on my devices is considered to be a computer virus.  Until now, I have trusted Kaspersky.  This is a very slimy move.

The US Government didn't leave Kaspersky much of a choice. Either leave everyone high-and-dry with their own software that won't update, or provide new software that does. Granted, the AV software they picked is brand new and never independently tested, so IMO, they should have made a better choice there.

I highly doubt the FBI will do anything, but you're welcome to try

These links should help explain the situation:

https://support.kaspersky.com/us/faq/2024-us-sales-statement

https://ultrasecureav.com/kl-transition

You are not required to keep UltraAV installed, it was given to you because Kaspersky can no longer do business in the USA. There are many people who uninstall UltraAV who then purchase a more reputable software instead.

Has anyone been able to even access any URL's for this Ultra Secure AV place? I cannot get to any of them that Kaspersky has posted, or sent in emails.

The problem here is the company didn't ask what we wanted. I would rather lose my subscription than get my data ported to a "new" entity. Worst part? We cannot even make changes to our subscription in ultravpn! I hope at least at some point I can cancel autorenewal, but that excuse of Kaspersky didn't have much choice I don't buy it at all

Sign in (ultravpn.com) The transition was so messed up they didn't even send links and there was no password set-up. Try with your Kaspersky credentials, if they don't work, use your email to recover and recreate a password as Kaspersky was kind enough to share our contact and billing information to them

UltraVPN and UltraAV 'support' is almost non-existent. I think they have one woman named Dianne G. who is fielding all the 'support' issues. They don't have any answers to all the log-in problems or anything for that matter.

Can't say I'm surprised. That anti-virus software literally didn't exist 3 months ago, so I could understand why they don't have a solid support team yet. Many people chose not to use UltraAV because of so many questions about the quality, effectiveness, and stability in the software. Ultimately, the choice is up to you on what AV software you want to use

I just uninstalled it & went on about my business.

Kaspersky Premium is still updating and, by the time it runs out, I will have figured out a replacement or a workaround.
