Kaspersky Plus auto deleting game install file/trojan with no option to add exception

As the title states, the AV is auto deleting a process without giving me a chance to add exception at the detection. When i go to quarantine, restore object - it says: cannot restore since the folder is no longer there. then i have to uninstall the game - reinstall the game with Kaspersky turned OFF - replay tutorials etc... big pain in the rear.

AV's used to give you an option... It looks like the settings for System Watcher are to either Allow & Ignore OR Block & Delete... there is no option to select what to do in each case - which is the option I am looking for. Kaspersky is ALL or NOTHING.

The game file in question is labeled trojan but it is part of the necessary executables for the game and i am willing to accept the consequence.

There should be an option to allow me to choose what to do with it... an option to allow exception, on the spot. Software used to let you do that... things used to be user friendly for the advanced user but it seems that these days i have to dig deeper and deeper in order to fine tune applications, a trend that becomes more troublesome each year.

Hopefully someone here can help... until then, i am exiting the kaspersky application.

Also, my databases don't update - i know, you stopped updating our stuff here in the US... I should probably find a different AV. I have been able to successfully update by turning on my vpn just to update - but, another hoop to jump through...

Hello @Kalcipher

Welcome!

  1. Re: "databases don't update", READ: Guide on Kaspersky software availability in the United States, Database update and connectivity to Kaspersky Security Network (KSN) cloud service - sadly, for US users, it's VPN or ?
  2. Re the PDM Trojan - please read: Kaspersky blocking Infinity Nikki download
  3. Also, IF (you) *uncheck* Perform recommended actions automatically - can an exclusion be created, in field Object Name, put the exact detection name: PDM.Trojan... etc. Exclusions and actions on object detection                                                                                                          image.thumb.png.646d531922f3d6bc1a960b342583efb1.png
  4. IF (you're) reporting it to Kaspersky - https://support.kaspersky.com/us/b2c/us#contacts  -  (which for PDM trojans is the only option), fill in the template as follows:

These files are required with the submission: Files to send to Kaspersky technical support in case of PDM malware detection

Thank you🙏
