Kaspersky Internet Security for Android v. 11.79.4.6841 - Fingerprint scanning not correct

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus - Android 12. All apps up to date, fingerprint unlock on phone works properly. In the app, when I try to unlock a locked app the fingerprint scanner doesn’t work correctly. Instead of unlocking it enters an unknown digit/character in the PIN number field. Obviously this doesn’t match the PIN that is set. Are there are bugs with Android 12, or Samsung Galaxy phones that can explain this?

  1. Log a case with Kaspersky consumer support, either via Chat or Email, select Application malfunction, Other template. Support may request logs, traces & other data, they will guide you. Also, it may help them if you provide images & or a video of the issue. 
  • If selecting Chat option, we recommend you request a copy of the chat transcript, make sure you fill in your email address AFTER the chat is activated by the Chat agent & complete the Verify your email address email AFTER the chat completes.
  • When it’s available, please share the outcome with the Community?

I have the same problem since I upgraded to android 12 on my galaxy s20. The fingerprint logo is displayed on top of the character 0. If you press fingerprint it automatically press the character 0 and fingerprint isn't clickable.

 

Please fix this bug.

I can't make a printscreen because it's not allowed because of the android system security to make printscreen on that screen.

@Renatos642 I did some trouble shooting/logging this weekend with the support team. They concluded that it's a bug with the fingerprint reader/app lock that appeared with the latest security patch from Google. They're working on a fix.
