Kaspersky improperly(?) works with Windows WSC during uninstallation

Hey guys

Have noticed behavior that is probably worth your attention; perhaps forwarding to the product team would be a good idea. After the removal of Kaspersky, the product remains registered in Windows Security app in the snoozed state, thus leaving the user without antivirus protection. In this scenario, Defender should automatically be enabled once the uninstallation is complete, as the removed product has detached itself from all system settings. But this doesn't happen due to a potential error in the communication between Kaspersky and WSC. After removing Kaspersky, Defender can't be turned on, even manually. At least one reboot is required. I've got a video, but not sure how I can share it.

It was reproduced on the up-to-date Win11 23H2 with Kaspersky Free 21.18.5.438(a) installed.

Have a good day

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

How did You remove KFree?

As usual... Settings->App->Kaspersky->Uninstall

This issue isn't specifically related to Kaspersky Free, as all consumer editions of Kaspersky share the same code and the core features, including the uninstallation procedure. This problem affects all versions, former KAV, KIS, KTS and new Premium, Basic, etc.

Got the proper behavior of the product/system through further testing. Must be not a bug and no need to disturb the product team.
