Not quite.
I had to create a new Kaspersky account because it just activated.
First I installed it in English, registered an account in my own region.
I activated it, everything was fine.
Then I deleted Kaspersky Free.
I downloaded the application from My Kaspersky, now in Hungarian, you just have to download it, it downloads in your own language.
I installed it, and when activating, I logged into the newly created account.
That's how Kaspersky Free became in my own language, it didn't have the option to download in Hungarian before, only in English or other languages.
The procedure was the same until now, I basically had to install it 2x to get it in my own language.
My Kaspersky is Hungarian regional.
I hope I described it correctly.

Thank you for the explanation !!

So, you didn't had any problem activating the Latvia, Estonia or Lithuania version with your Hungarian My Kaspersky. That's what i thought, at least for anyone that lives in EU. Maybe if someone thet lives in USA, UK, Asia etc. needs a vpn upon the first login/activation to the application, but obviously i don't know for sure if that's the case.

And as you said and as i had said, from My Kaspersky you can only download the application in your language (depending the country you had choose). But it's not that bad as you need to download it only once, then you can save the .exe on your computer if you needed again.

Absolutely correct!
When you start the installation, it automatically updates to the latest version, even if an older version is saved on your computer.

Man, I'm so bummed out, been using this solution since forever, and while I dont really do anything shady online, Kasp has saved my butt a couple of times (dont know if those were false positives, but I trust the software enough as to assume they werent).

Did this method work for you @Jonathan95? really tempted to try but I dont have a VPN to activate a new account, although Steve mentioned it was all fine and it wasnt needed.

@DriftingraftCan you give us more information about what have you already tried and didn't work ?? Where are you from ??

andrew75 on the 2nd page (13th comment) have upload the global version of the Kaspersky Free, have you tried that ?? I bet that you can activate it no matter the country you live. A vpn is probably not needed.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, I've yet to try the methods listed in the previous pages, I'm still debating whether I should try downloading the global version of the file, or do the other approach Steve mentioned. Which one did you use? Also, I'm currently in the LATAM region, wonder if that would have any sort of impact, since I assume almost everyone in this thread is from somewhere around the EU.

EDIT: Incidentally, I already have that very same file in my system, but obviously in spanish. Same version and everything(21.21.7.384). Assuming I use this installer, what do I do? Simply run the installation and create a new account?

I already have installed the EU version. Also i had try the global version and it activated successfully with my existing account. I didn't try to activate other versions (Estonian, Russian etc.)

If you live in the LATAM region and the installer you have is from that region you are all good. You must have no problems activate it. You don't need a new account if you had select you currently region

Excellent, will try this method instead. Just one more question, should I first uninstall my existing kaspersky before launching the installer? Or just launch it as is with the application in my system and just wait for it to be overwritten

Edit: Additionally: which version are you on? Im not sure if this installer i have will bring me up to the latest version (the one the Estonian, Latvian etc... has) or if i will be perma locked in this 21.21.7.384 version.

You must uninstall the existing app first and then install the new one. Also if you want you can export the settings before the uninstallation.

I'm on 21.21.7.384 too. I don't know why it haven't updated. But upon the installation it will probably download the newest version.
