Kaspersky Blocking Youtube Player

Recently, about 4-5 days ago, my Youtube began to not work. When I click to watch a video on the site the entire webpage will refuse to load and I cannot play the video, look at comments, or use any interface whatsoever. I did some investigating and found that Youtube would work as normal as soon as I closed Kaspersky. Some help on how to fix this would be great. The link below is a picture of what my Youtube looks like when not loading.

Thanks you!

Hello @KadenSuderman,

Welcome!

  1. ❓ Does “ Youtube - entire webpage: cannot play video, look at comments, or use any interface whatsoever ” happen irrespective of browser used?
  2. ❓ 4-5 days ago, were there any changes: hardware, software, extensions added, & or environmental?
  3. ❓ Are Kaspersky Private Browsing & or Anti-Banner enabled?
  4. Please run a GSI & Windows Logs & post back?

Thank you🙏

  1. It seems to only happen in Chrome and Firefox, and not on Edge.
  2. I’m not sure about any changes, however I did remove many extensions to attempt to fix it as I know that can occasionally be a cause.
  3. I’m on the free version of kaspersky so Anti-banner is disabled. I am also not using Kaspersky private browsing.

I ran a GSI & Windows Logs and have attached the file below. None of the above have changed anything so far sadly. Thanks for the help.

Hi,

Does pausing protectionin KFA + browser restart help?

Is it possible to identify one culprit component?

Also have you tried to clear cache in browsers? Does the issue persist?

Try to reset KFA settings (Settings - General - Manage settings) and retest the issue.

Try to enable Kaspersky Protection extension in browsers.

Check is the issue related to script inject option (Setings - Additional - Network). So try to disable the option, restart KFA, restart browser and retest the issue.

Clearing the cache fixed it! Youtube now works fine in all browsers.

Thanks for the help!
