Is Kaspersky a good and safe anti-virus?

Hi! I want to try Kaspersky Internet Security. Is it a good and safe anti-virus? Does it really gives good protection? I’m paranoid and afraid that it can spy me. Could you please tell your experience with Kaspersky?

I have had great experience with Kaspersky since year 2005. I am very active online, and I have never been infected. Kaspersky has been very good to me.

Yes, there is, there is not a single program without errors, as well as a perpetual motion machine. As for negative reviews, yes, such a fact exists, but after all, any work has both fans and opponents. I recommend only listening to evidence-based feedback. Many are simply unfounded and based on rumors and gossip. Kaspersky Lab products have taken first places in tests by independent companies many times - here are my proofs that the product is good. And yet, until you try it yourself, you will not know (the exception is poison and drugs)
