How to temporarily pause Kaspersky while updating Windows?

I was just trying to pause Kaspersky antivirus. I was updating windows 10.

Please advise how to temporarily pause Kaspersky.

You are welcome. You can right click on the product icon in tray and choose “Pause protection”

Also, in the latest version of Kaspersky AV software 21.2.16.590, the context menu has been modified.

On the Windows Taskbar, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, then select Pause protection:

Could you specify the previous version? and new version?

What was the exact issue?  Are you sure that Kaspersky product was related to the issue?

Welcome again!

1. @Moneymasternow wanted to know how to find the “Pause protection” option, so she could update Windows.
2. Kaspersky recommends using the latest version of their software with the latest Operating system version available. 
3. BEFORE updating Windows, make sure all critical data is backed up & you have created a current System restore point. 
4. AFTER updating Windows, do a clean install of the latest Kaspersky software version 21.2.16.590 & patches (a) & (b).
