Hello, Anyone knows how to switch off those pesky Kaspersky notifications that pop up from time to time? I am using Total Security on Windows 10. I find important so the program communicate only the most important instances like security alerts related to the machine and traffic itself but all other communication that I consider unimportant should be possible to switch off (that includes marketing communication). Example of one of those notofications is below. Appreciate the answers

Hello frankG, Welcome!
  1. The notification shown is for Kaspersky Secure Connection/VPN (Free).
Has KSC/VPN been activated?
  1. IF "yes", that specific msg, is "asking you to sign into your MYKaspersky account to increase the daily 200mb (free data allowance), to 300mb/daily.
  2. IF you don't use KSC/VPN, change KSC/VPN, UNCHECK Run KSC at computer startup & UNCHECK Enable SC at KSC startup.
  1. &, in Windows, Network & Sharing Centre, disable Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter.
As an alternative, uninstall KSC/VPN. ---
  1. For KTS popups, go to: KTS, Notification Settings, if Notify about Events is ticked - UNCHECK. Notification settings
Note: Important KTS notifications will still be displayed. Please post back if there are other notifications that you're concerned about & or if the issues persist? Many thanks:pray_tone3:

Hi there. I will try this solution. Yes, my Kaspersky is fully activated and has valid subscription. I also found this and unchecked all of the options (see below)

Hello frankG, Thanks for posting back:pray_tone3:. You didn't install KSC/VPN by "choice". KSC/VPN comes "pre-installed" with KIS/KTS & KSC, During the KTS application install process there is no indication KSC/VPN is installed. Kaspersky Customers only find out AFTER the event. Best regards.

  • 1 year later...

Windows Key & r, in the pop-up windows type services.mcs and okay. In the services screen scroll down to Kaspersky Secure Connection Service x.x, right click on it and select properties, startup type will be set to Automatic (Delayed Start), click on the down arrow and select Manual.
