I do not know how to unblock my camera on my iMac Pro - I have already checked my Security and Privacy settings.  Also, I saw a message come up that stated Kaspersky had the camera blocked.

I need it unblocked for a ZOOM call.  This is urgent.

Hello @RedRockRick,

Welcome!

  • If you’ve followed the documented procedures, refer Resources at the end of our reply; for urgent issues, go to Support for home products, Application use, check if Phone or Online Chat are available in your location, if “yes”, contact them via one of those methods.

Note, your topic is in Kaspersky Total Security (KTS) category, for MAC, iOS & Android devices, a KTS license installs Kaspersky Internet Security software.

Thank you🙏

Dear All,

I also have this problem, yesterday Apple prompted me to update my MacOS to 10.15.7 (19H2) which I duly proceeded to do and then my Camera stoped working, I followed all the Mac advice (including a clean instal of MacOS) to avail. Soooo, continuing my problem solving I chose to turn my Kaspersky off and exit the App… Bingo the camera works fine again. Sorry guys but there may be an incompatibility with the current version of Kaspersky Internet Security of MacOS and the latest version of MacOS.

Hopefully there will be a fix in the near future.

Best wishes

Phill

Hello @iPhill2, Phil,

Welcome!

  • Please contact Kaspersky Technical Support, as per the advice in our reply to @RedRockRick or by logging a case, follow the template image as a guide, however, fill in the KIS version & operating system version according to your specific details, include MAC logs, Kaspersky Support may request Traces, they will guide you with the necessary steps to collect if required:
  • After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.

  • For clarity, Kaspersky will fix nothing unless they know about it, and without data to analyse & trouble shoot to determine there is actually a bug.
  • A generic reply to a topic is not likely to see Kaspersky fix anything.

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it’s available?

Thank you🙏
