For two days now a spam site, plankjock.com, is attempting to force a download on my computer, every 3-4 seconds - blocked every time by kaspersky, but it's extremely annoying (especially with the bing-bong every 3-4 seconds notification bell). Any ideas how I can a. get kaspersky to stop the continuous attempts /block the site b. turn off the notification sound and/or c. talk directly to kaspersky support wihtout writing emails/sending contact forms. Thanks in advance! iB

Hello indieBerlin, (Noel), I second your sentiments?! Is it exactly the same url? Can you go to KIS REPORTS, select Web Anti-Virus, select 24 hrs, export the report, save it as a .txt file & upload it using the upload icon in your reply please? I'll do some checking while I wait for the info. Thanks very much. https://help.kaspersky.com/KIS/2019/en-US/69235.htm https://help.kaspersky.com/KIS/2019/en-US/69242.htm

Thank you indieBerlin:pray_tone3:,
  1. May I have an image of the page that displays please?
  2. Did you follow the information Berny provided?
  3. Are the alerts continous, irrespective of what site you are on?
  4. Do the alerts happen irrespective of the browser used?
  5. To turn off popups unselect Notify about events
  6. To turn off sound, unselect Audio notifications
Note - critical notifications will still be send (by Kaspersky sofware) to the Windows Action centre. Please let us know? Thanks so much.

Hi, thanks for all the advice and sorry for the time lag, didnt have a minute...first question, and I feel stupid asking this: where do I find the settings to do this: "Kaspersky Settings > Additional > Threats and exclusions > Detection types > enable Detect Other Software. and do a databases update > reboot, then do a scan. " ...in the desktop app? There I have a settings (the wheel) option but I don't find anything to do with the above...mine looks like this (its in German, I realise). "Weitere Funktionen" would be additional, but when I go there I dont get the threats and exclusions, or detection types, or anything similar....? ...and the second screenshot I'm attaching is what it looks like when I click through to the additional settings (weitere funktionen). Thanks in advance for your help! This thing is driving me crazy!

Hello indieBerlin, Thanks for posting back. No question is stupid. Just give me a little while, I go thru all your posts and put together guidelines. ---
  1. While you are waiting, please download Malwarebytes AdwCleaner, change it so it's not running automatically and not started automatically.
  2. Please configure the scan options as is shown in my image
  1. Please run it and report back what it finds.
Thanks?

Hello indieBerlin, Thanks for posting back and the info.
  1. Using MWB AC delete csastats.
---
  1. When you say "I turned off-audio-notifications.", "no, scratch that. It's still bing-bonging", did you turn off both "Notify about events" & "Audio notifications"?
  2. IF "yes", you are STILL receiving audible notifications when the download blocked event happens?
  1. Are you using any of the Kindersicherung/Parental Control features?
  2. May I have a screen image of "a message that says that the download hasn't been permitted", wherever you see that msg, screen print it & post back please?
  3. Make sure "Delete malicious tools, adware, auto-dialers and suspicious packagers" is enabled
Please let me know the above? I'll be in touch with more procedures. Thanks again. https://help.kaspersky.com/KTS/2019/en-US/139728.htm https://help.kaspersky.com/KTS/2019/en-US/119653.htm

Only Chrome.
Hi! Since you mentioned that this is happening only on chrome. I would suggest to try to reset the browser back to it's default settings to remove the adware. You can check on this link for the steps on how to reset the browser. For Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en Regards,
