High latency and unstable VPN tunnel performance across all USA regions

Hello,
I’ve been experiencing unusually high latency and unstable connection speeds when using Kaspersky VPN Plus in all United States regions (including Washington, New York, and others).

Until a few days ago, the connection was completely normal, but recently the RTT (latency) has increased drastically — from around 80 ms to over 900 ms on average. I’ve tried multiple reconnections, switching between U.S. regions, and restarting my system, but the issue persists.

In addition, I’ve confirmed that other users I know (around 10 people) — all using the same VPN plan and connecting from the same country — are also experiencing the same high-latency issue on U.S. servers.

This suggests that there might be some congestion, maintenance, or routing problem affecting the VPN nodes in the United States region.

Could you please check if there is any ongoing issue or maintenance affecting Kaspersky VPN servers in the U.S.?
I can provide traceroute results and public VPN IPs from the affected connections if needed.

Welcome!

  1. Also, Kaspersky's VPN provider is outside of the US & is not impacted by the ban
  2. To protect (your) privacy & security, logs, traces & any other data cannot be submitted to the Kaspersky Community Forum.  
  3. Make sure the Windows OS is commercially released, not Insider Preview, Canary, Beta & OR any other OS in the development cycle?
  4. Try changing the *protocol*?
  5. Even tho the issue is impacting multiple users - please ensure the *latest* KVPN version/patch is installed, try uninstalling the VPN software, reboot, download & install a new VPN; if the issue persists, please contact Kaspersky Customer Servicehttps://support.kaspersky.com/b2c/global#contacts  -> select Email, fill in the template as shown; provide a *detailed-history*, the support team will engage & assist, if logs, traces & any other data are required, they will guide you: image.thumb.png.f53873a7d547ac3ab4245953802d90f8.png
