High Latency

I have tried different servers, and measured the latency while VPN is off and while VPN is on, all the servers I tried I got a very  high latency, 150, 220 amd even above 300. While when the vpn is off, the latency is less than 20. Is there any way to fix this? I tried to use geographically countries close to where I live, the latency is always high, which makes the internet quality bad for almost anything.

Did try with another protocol ?

Also what is your real geographical location ?

Yes I tried, the high latency issue exists with the three options of protocol (auto, Catapult Hydra, WireGuard). My location is Russia.
