Hi,

Kaspersky is using very high cpu usage (+20%) on my machine (reinstall didn’t help), especially when i’m using a browser. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome.  There are two possible courses of action. One is to post your GetSystemInfo report here, so forum users can help, or the other is to Contact Tech Support.

1. Please post your GetSystemInfo report link, instructions: https://support.kaspersky.com/common/diagnostics/3632
Please upload the GetSystemInfo zip folder that is inside the larger GSI zip to the GSI parser site http://www.getsysteminfo.com/ and post the url to the parsed report here, in your next post.

2. Or, please contact Tech Support: https://my.kaspersky.com/support/

Please attach the following items to your Tech Support request:

a. Description of the issue.
b. Screenshot, as needed.
c. GSI

Also,

Settings → Additional → Network Settings → Uncheck “Inject scripts into web traffic to interact with web pages”

try to disable this option + disable Anti-banner (if you have it) and see what happens next

if it doesn’t work: Settings → Additional → Network Settings → check “Do not scan encrypted connections”

if it doesn’t help, try to turn off application control temporarily and compare the result

Thanks this worked for me. But now I lose this feature and the added security. Kaspersky please look into this.

Hello @gerrette,

Welcome!

  • Please raise a case with Kaspersky Technical Support, provide a detailed history, images and a GSI & Windows logs
  • After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.

Thank you🙏

Appreciate the requests to open a ticket but my expectation is that you all are already aware of this issue - based on the information given and the responses. It should not be hard, with your capabilities, to test this situation. It is clearly related to the Kaspersky software and one of the reasons that I left another security platform. Software bloat creeps in on any intensive software tool. Please just look into this and come up with a solution in your next release. Otherwise people will slowly make their devices less secure by dropping some of the bloated solutions - and then it becomes a matter of just choosing the cheapest competitor. Your software is very good. Please do your part to reduce the overhead where you can.

Thanks. I’ll submit a ticket but I am not very hopeful as this isn’t a setting or issue with my equipment or installation. It came up suddenly without any other software being added or any changes to my network, equipment or my Kaspersky software. It started right after their last update.
