HEUR:Trojan.Multi.GenBadur.genw

Recommended Posts

For 2 weeks, whenever I open any image or videos in a particular folder I get continuous Kaspersky notifications of a Trojon virus:"HEUR:Trojan.Multi.GenBadur.genw"

I have scanned the whole PC multiple times and it deletes the object, but it appears again every time.

Please guide me, I am new to this.

Hello @ric1928

Welcome!

  1. Check path:  C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations - can you see the file Kaspersky is detecting?
  2. Read & follow: Kaspersky application blocks my website or application. What should I do?
  3. Read & follow: Kaspersky notification of detection, file or website detected - by Richbuff
  4. Read & follow: How to remove a virus from Windows & preventing infection - provided by Kaspersky - Danila T.

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you?

Yes, I can see the files and I tried doing some of the steps which I could but the virus is still there still happening.

And, I got a reply from Kaspersky to get a Getsysteminfo 6 utility, should I reply to them with the zip folder?

Hello @ric1928
Thank you for posting back & the information.

We uderstand you're worried, but Kaspersky Technical Support will help you; please provide them with whatever data they request.

Also, the Community cannot tell you if the infection is dangerous - only Kaspersky's expert specialists can do that; the sooner you give them the system information, the  sooner they will be able to offer assistance.

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you?
