Hello  @Tibbybj,

Welcome!

  1. Does the issue happens in all browsers?
  2. What is the operating system version & build & Kaspersky version & patch? - open Kaspersky Total Security aplication (KTS), select Headset🎧 (lower left hand corner of KTS screen), opens Support window, on the Support windows you’ll see the System information & Kaspersky information… We only need version & build info, not license # & or activation code #.
  3. Also, please tell us all browsers used, names & versions?

Please let us know?

Thank you🙏

Hello @Tibbybj,

Thank you for the information👌

May I ask, is there a reason you’re still using KTS version 19? If “no reason”, imo, it would be best to update to v20, please let me know?

I’ll step you thru what’s necessary to update the Kaspersky software.…,

Thank you🙏

The software is set to update automatically so if I am not on the latest version I can’t understand why.

My laptop is the computer with the problem, my other computer a ,PC runs version 19 and that is

fine.

If I need to update I would be pleased to be taken through the steps, I am no expert so please keep it as simple as possible.

Thanks

Hello @Tibbybj,

Thank you for replying🙏

I will absolutely do my best to make this as painless as possible, take your time with every step, if you get stuck, post back, don’t worry about “expert”, none of us were born “expert” anything.

  • 1st things first, Windows version is 1903 (May update), 1909 November update is more recent, so let's check if Windows is updating properly:

Open Start Menu,  click on Settings, select Update & Security settings,  Windows Update,

Press on the Check for updates button. If any updates are available, they will display, please do not accept any updates, just let me know if any are available please?

Thank you🙏

Hi Flood,

Did you receive my reply above?

@Tibbybj

Please follow these easy steps :

> Download KTS 2020 https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads
> Exit KTS 2019 > uninstall > reboot (*)
> Install KTS 2020 > update databases > reboot

(*) Keep license information during uninstall

Also, for Operating System issues please visit the Microsoft Community.

Thanks Berny.

I am being forced to remove Malware Bytes which I have paid for, why? I used to run the previous version of Total Security with Malware Bytes.

Posted

You are welcome, If you want to keep Malwarebyes in cohabitation with Kaspersky , please disable in MBAM the Anti Ransomware option.

Posted

Disable MBAM? where do I do that. Is that in Malware Bytes? If so will Kaspersky protect me from Ransomeware?

Posted

This is a known conflict, please disable the realtime   Ransomware protection in MalwareBytes ,

Kaspersky will protect you against Ransomware.

Also , please keep in mind that 100% security doesn’t exist.

Posted

I have disbale the Ransom Ware option in Malwarebytes and I still cannot install Kaspersky.

Posted

Please  uninstall MalwareBytes before installing Kaspersky, then reinstall MalwareBytes and disable the Ransomware realtime protection.

Hi Berny,

I have done as you suggested and everything seems to be working. The green ring is back.

Thanks for your help.

You can use malwarebytes but only for scan not for realtime protection with kaspersky because two or more AV turned on realtime = fighting between these antiviruses.
