Hello,

I have the same problem since the update of KIS 2019 to the 2020 version, 15 days ago. I reinstalled KIS 2019 and the problem is fixed. However, the update to 2020 being imposed on users, the problem will return. I have this problem only with Chrome, in public or private browsing. Nothing with Internet Explorer Microsoft. If I deactivate KIS, close and reopen Chrome or delete cookies, the problem disappears. I think KIS is blocking incoming connections from Maps because Chrome stays active while browsing other sites, only Maps is KO, even when opening another window. I have the same problem with another site using a Maps basemap. This problem may be related to the June 3 Chrome update but not certain.

I sent a request to technical support a few days ago.

@Anton Mefodys  Yes.  With both Script inject option disabled and browser’s extension disabled, the issue still reproduced.  If I disable Kapersky, no issue at all.  So I have narrowed down the problem to Kapersky.  I have submitted a ticket.

Hi, does it help to disable ssl scan via Settings -> Additional -> Network -> select "Do not scan encrypted connections"? Restart browser, check and let us know. Thank you.

So far I haven’t had an issue with Google maps after selecting “Do not scan encrypted connections”.  I will test it more tomorrow since I will be using Google maps for a longer time tomorrow and that will be a good test.

With this setting, KIS security is highly risky? However, will a fix be deployed by Kaspersky for this problem?

Hello,

I have this exact same problem. It seems the problem went away by adding google.com to the exceptions (active) for ‘Scanning encrypted connections’. This way, you do not have to completely disable the scanning of encrypted connections. Of course, a comprehensive fix is still necessary, but I hope this helps!

According to the latest news from developers: the issue will be fixed in KIS 2021 MR1 version.

 

As for now, it is necessary to use mentioned above workarounds while using google maps site.

Здравствуйте. Это давняя проблема, которую в Лаборатории всё ещё не решили почему-то. Несколько лет назад на старом форуме была тема на этот счёт и там всё было подробно расписано:

Более чем очевидно, что  дело в перегрузке антивирусника огромным количеством (тысячи и десятки тысяч) мелких файлов, которые загружаются при работе с Google Map. Не стоит искать проблему в  работе браузеров. Проблема в антивирусной программе - это очевидно.

Проблема осталась и сейчас в полной мере проявляется на последних версиях; в частности могу подтвердить на Kaspersky Small Office Security 7.

This won't solve your problem. Other resources must be added to exceptions during verification. There's a whole list of them, here they are:

Compiled the most complete list of resources that are downloaded when viewing google maps. See attachment. The csv file to import and add to the exclusions of KIS.

Is there any solution to this problem yet? I also have this problem, not just chrome but firefox as well. and not just Map.google.com but google.com too

  • All new versions & patches are released in staggered distribution, for example Kaspersky Security Cloud 2021 was released on the 14th of July, however, some Community members have advised the new version has still not “arrived”.
  • Unfortunately, the actual release date of new versions is never known, sometimes anticipated dates are changed, there can be many reasons for this. 
  • Have you implemented the workarounds that have been suggested by @Igor Kurzin & @Sergey_K ? If “yes”, and the issues remain, please contact Kaspersky Technical Support, on the Support page, select your location, select Application use, select from options: Online Chat (not available all locations), Phone (not available all locations), & or Submit a request → via your MyKaspersky account; the support team will request a GSI & Windows logs and may request Traces → they will guide you with the steps to collect these if required. 
  • Note: if the issue is happening in both Google Chrome & Firefox, there may be a different reason for the issues, have you uninstalled & reinstalled KIS according to documentation?

I had the same problem. Try this:

  1. Go SETTINGS.
  2. ADDITIONAL.
  3. NETWORK.
  4. MANAGE EXCLUSIONS.
  5. ADD “www.google.com”.

I have the same problem. Google Maps is unable to load unless I shut down Kaspersky. I am using the free version of Kaspersky and the only thing I have active is the file scanner.

 

Seems to be a bug in your software.
