Google Drive for Windows asking for Webcam access

Hello.

Please I would appreciate your advice. I installed Google Drive for Desktop on Saturday and was taken aback when I saw that the Google Drive wants access to my webcam.

I was grateful for Kaspersky as it had never even occurred why the software would want webcam access.

Has anyone else ever seen this before? And why would Google Drive want webcam access?

Please try this :

More Tools →  Manage Applications →  Application Control →  Manage Application (*) →  Application rules →  Tab [rights]  Operating system modification
→  Suspicious modifications in the operating system →  Access webcam.

(*) In the list, select the application for which you want to allow/deny webcam access.
Right-click the application name to open the Application rules window.
