I need help finding a way to determine which file (possibly) is causing Kaspersky to crash. Sometimes it crashes at 1% whereas other times, it crashes at 45-46%. When it comes back up, I restart the scan and it completes.

Logically, this tells me that a file is scanned, that perhaps it finds something in there, and this file is causing the program to reset/crash. I need to find the file(s) responsible, so I require support to help me to this.

Welcome to Kaspersky Commnunity.

Can You provide version of K. product installed? If still KTS, I would directly migrate to new product line Kaspersky Plus:

Also, check health of Your drive -> ScanDisk, HDD Regenerator, etc...

Version is 21.3.10.391(m)

This NVMe is new; it was replaced in November 2024.

Windows was replace, also, in November 2024 as a fresh copy.

Just download the installer, and You can even install overwriting current KTS installation, it should get the current license.

try to disable scan archives in the advanced settings of full scan.

your problem is highly caused by too much reports generated.

I'll see what I can disable because that is a good point, Xzz123, too.

If this doesn't work, then I'll download the new installer and upgrade to the new software.

You can close this as I have steps to try.

I'll mark whatever is the solution when I find it by trial-and-error.
