Does Kaspersky VPN block connections to known infected servers in Android?

Hi,

 

I’m planning to use Kaspersky Fast Secure VPN in my android phone. I’m not really interested in the encryption features.

 

I’m interested to know if the app “Kaspersky Fast Secure VPN” for Android, blocks connections to known infected servers (C&C servers, bad IP’s) in the case that my android phone has a rootkit, virus or something, like sending screenshots to the infected server.

Hello @jon223, Welcome.

Your wishes cannot be fulfilled by a normal VPN program, it is not its task. It only establishes the requested connection via protected detours.

For blocking infected sources you need an AV program like 'Kaspersky Internet Security for Android'. This analyzes the data traffic and can also block it.

I’m using Kaspersky Internet Security for Android and I can’t find where it says it analyzes data traffic. Thank you though, I went with NoRoot Firewall, which installs a VPN local bounded. It’s pretty good.
