Discrepancy between Statuses of given users on their home page and report for admin

Hi, we claimed by a couple of our users their slow progress (delay/be behind a schedule, of course), but most of them replied that they are in time schedule. There are users too (among our 280 users), which are even in status "Finished" on their home page, but in report are evaluated as "behind the schedule".

How it is possible? How we can refresh data on report, that it will correlate with statuses on end users home pages?

Kind regards

Jindrich

Hey Guys.

If anyone is still experiencing this issue relating to this old post.

Please try this as it sounds like you're dealing with a data synchronization issue between the user statuses displayed on their home pages and the reports generated for your users. Here are some potential reasons for the discrepancies and suggestions on how to resolve them:

Possible Reasons for Discrepancies

  1. Data Caching: The reports may be pulling from a cached version of the data, which hasn't been updated to reflect the latest user statuses.

  2. Different Data Sources: The home page and the report might be using different databases or APIs, leading to inconsistencies in the data.

  3. Status Update Delays: There might be a delay in updating user statuses in the report due to batch processing or timing issues.

  4. User Input Errors: Some users might not have updated their progress accurately, leading to a mismatch between their perceived status and the reported status.

  5. Report Logic Errors: The logic used to determine if a user is "behind schedule" might not align with the criteria used to evaluate their progress on their home page.

Steps to Refresh Data and Ensure Consistency

  1. Implement Real-Time Updates: Ensure both the home page and reports pull from the same real-time data source to eliminate caching issues.

  2. Regular Data Synchronization: Schedule regular updates to synchronize data between the home page and the reporting system.

  3. Audit Data Sources: Verify that both systems are using the same data source and that there are no discrepancies in the data being pulled.

  4. Review Report Logic: Examine the criteria used for determining user status in the report and ensure it aligns with how statuses are defined on user home pages.

  5. User Feedback Mechanism: Implement a feedback mechanism for users to report discrepancies directly, which can help identify issues quickly.

  6. Testing and Validation: Regularly test the reporting system against known user statuses to validate accuracy and identify potential issues.

  7. Logging and Monitoring: Implement logging to track when and how user statuses are updated, which can help diagnose issues in the future.

By addressing these areas, you should be able to improve the correlation between user statuses on their home pages and the reports generated for your users.

Thank you
