Delete activation code on dormant device

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I recently upgraded my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10. During the process, I forgot to uninstall Kaspersky Internet Security before formatting the HDD. Now the activation code doesn't work on Windows 10 (same machine). Is there a way to make it work?

I do have a back up of the Windows 7's Windows and Program Files (x86) folders. Is there a way to copy registry from these folders to the Windows 10's folder?

Thanks for your time and help.

Click License in the lower-right corner of the application window. The link may be named Subscription if you have a subscription licensing plan.
Click Show details.
Click Bin icon.
Click Yes to confirm deleting the license.
Click Enter activation code.
Enter the activation code and click Activate.
Wait for the activation to complete and then click Finish.

Hope this helps,
J Wick

Hi all,

My issue is similar to OP. I just want to remove an activation key for Kaspersky total security but when I click on Subscriptions and then click the activation, there is no remove/delete button?

I've looked everywhere......

Hello @PaulC1972

Welcome!

In https://my.kaspersky.com/MyLicenses#/portal/pages/licenses/all - it's possible there's only a Hide option - available for (your) KTS subscription:                               image.thumb.png.9f92c3ee3a3d6452694952e9a3dc0d87.png

  • Kaspersky Customer Service will be able to assist, please log a request - https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts  -  on the support page, select either Chat or Email, then fill in template as shown in the image below; please include a *detailed history*:            image.thumb.png.5fcb20f5c64ec6f53776a16520c2003d.png

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?
Thank you🙏
