How is Kaspersky discovering the data leaks, are they comparing logins that have been placed on login lists and shared on controversial sites?

What data has been leaked? Is it always password and login? Is there a way to see which data Kaspersky has found?

Thanks...so Kaspersky doesn't know exactly what data it has matched up and it may be data that has not leaked at all but rather there is a possibility it could easily leak because similar passwords have been associated with the same email...?

Password credentials with same email and password doesn't mean that they leaked on all your different accounts. Also, Kaspersky is monitoring companies that are selling databases from compromised accounts.
