Hello @LucasM0321

Welcome!
Please tell us:

  1. Kaspersky Security Cloud version & patch(x)
  2. When the ctfmon.exe error happens what is the the effect, is it stopping an application, the system, something else?
  3. Is the ctfmon.exe error new or has always happened?
  4. Open Kaspersky Security Cloud,  select More Tools, select Reports, select Detailed Reports, select All Events, select 24hrs, select Export, export the report, save as a text (*.txt) file, 📎attach📎  the report to your reply please?

Please post back?

The effect of it is usually windows login screen freezing so that I have to restart and hope it doesn’t freeze And the windows login screen is verry slow. This error began after I downloaded kaspersky.

@LucasM0321
Also, can you please check if  file “ctfmon.exe” is located in folder  C:\Windows\System32
It looks like this is a  Microsoft process.
Why do you suspect Kaspersky , please see below.
