Cant switch my location for Youtube TV

OS - Win10 v21H2

VPN app version 21.7.7.393

Im trying to switch my location to NYC so I can watch NY NFL games next sunday. I have selected 'USA - New York' vpn server and turned off all location permissions in settings on my PC. When I look at the Youtube tv listings for upcoming games, I still see games being aired in my local area.

on the YT tv under home i select sports and football, scroll to sept 11 and see the 5 games playing in my market.

Update, we reached out to Google support, they advised: VPNs are not permitted for use on YouTube TV.
