I have been using Silvercrest STMS 22 mice on multiple computers for several years.  They use a Bluetooth USB dongle and the intention is that when it is first inserted it should search for and install the revelant Silvercrest driver.  However, this no longer works and Device Manager now shows that the mouse is using an HID-compliant driver so the extra functionality of the mouse isn't available.  When I check the properties it reports:

C:\WINDOWS\syste32\DRIVERS\klmouflt.sys, C:\WINDOWS\syste32\DRIVERS\mouclass.sys, C:\WINDOWS\syste32\DRIVERS\mouFilter_FleDef4.sys, C:\WINDOWS\syste32\DRIVERS\mouhid.sys

The laptop's touchpad uses the same drivers, excepting mouFilter_FleDef4.sys.

It seems therefore the KTS is over-riding both drivers to instead use klmouflt.sys.  This doesn't affect the touchpad but it does stop full functioning of the Bluetooth mouse.

Any suggestions how I can fix this?

Step 1: Uninstall the Device from Device Manager

• Press Windows + X key on the keyboard
• Open Device Manager
• Locate Mice and other pointing devices and expand the same
• Right-click on the touchpad/mouse and then uninstall the drivers.
• Reboot the computer after uninstall process has finished.

Step 2: Uninstall the Device Drivers from Program List in Control Panel

• Press Windows + X key on the keyboard
• Click on Control Panel
• Now click on Programs and select Programs and Features.
• Find the Mouse Driver
• Right click Mouse Driver and select Uninstall.
• Reboot the computer after the uninstall process has finished.

Method 2: Disable Anti-Virus

I would suggest you to disable the anti-virus installed temporarily on your system and install both the drivers from Website and check if it installs fine.
