Can't download 21.2.16.590 to fix YouTube issue [un-cross-posted]

I’m having the same problem but I can’t figure out how to update to 21.2.16.590. When I go the links you guys are posting and choose “Update” for Total Security, the download it gives me is for 21.1.15.500(c) which is what I already have. If I go to Database Update within the Kaspersky app, it tells me that everything is completely up to date even though it’s still running the outdated 21.1.15.500(c). It doesn’t acknowledge 21.2.16.590 at all. Please help. At this point the YouTube issues are enough to make me delete Kaspersky entirely and just go purchase another anti-virus.

I’m having the same YouTube issues as everyone else - can’t stay logged in, can’t like/comment on anything or subscribe to anyone, etc.

I read the other post about updating to 21.2.16.590 fixing this issue, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do that.

Welcome!

Kaspersky Total Security (version 21.2.16.590) is the link→ download the installer, close all other apps, browsers. Click on the installer to start the version update. After you’ve updated the version, you need to apply patch(a) & patch(b), patch(a) is available across the globe; patch(b) → which has the Youtube fix, is still being rolled out

To complete a version update, at the end of the update, make sure you shutdown the computer, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, make sure KTS is started, check the version, run a manual Database updateshutdown the computer, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, make sure KTS is started, check the patch → note: it may be necessary to repeat the shutdown steps several times to apply the patches. 

If patch(b) does not apply, it’s will be because, in your location, it has not been distributed, over the next period, every 24hrs, shutdown the computer, patch(b) will eventually apply.

I followed all of your steps and nothing changes. Still on 21.1.15.500(c) and won’t acknowledge any updates beyond that version even with multiple shut downs and manual updates.

I’m in Canada (although in this case I don’t think it matters, I can’t even get the A version which you say is supposed to be available globally.)
