Cannot import saved settings OR don't know how to change exactly what i want

I have reinstalled my system and saved .cfg file before that. However, it does not seem like any of the settings from my previous config are applied and kaspersky total security is bombarding me with adware detected, threat detected, etc. when it should not.

no, i have imported the config, yet none of my previous settings are on

Did You used this option?

Restore

You can restore the settings recommended by Kaspersky for Kaspersky Total Security at any time. When the settings are restored, the Recommended security level is set for all protection components.

Maybe the exported .cfg was not saved properly or corrupted? What is its size?

Hello @harlan4096 & @angry,

FYI, from one of our machines, .cfg sizes over a 6mth timeframe for KTS, then Premium:

  1. Is there more than one .cfg file available to work with @angry?
  2. From Kaspersky Reports - which alerts are most bothersome to (you) right now that can be reconfigured & has KTS been upgraded to Kaspersky Plus, as @harlan4096 suggested - for the free-like-for-like-upgrade OR is it still KTS?

Thank you🙏

1. No, this is a single config file which was created using "export" option, there were no other ones.

2. No, i haven't upgraded to kaspersky plus
It's not just alerts i'm bothered with, the app was working just fine before reinstall, and now it spams "adware detected" "this app is trying to get internet access", "this app is connecting to this ip", AND it deletes any "threat" no matter the size. Invasive behaviour. I know what i'm doing and what i'm downloading, i just need the AV to scan file on my demand, tell me if it's dangerous, and make me decide what to do with that. without stupid popups.

Hello @angry

How is: Perform recommended actions automatically configured?

READ: Ask user. If the Perform recommended actions automatically check box is cleared under Settings → General, Application Control asks the user to decide. If the check box is selected, the action is chosen automatically

Thank you🙏

It's already set to ask user, it's just that it triggers on too much. Delphi apps i've made are  adware now, the sites i visit are unsafe now, and all that.
And when it asks user, i get too many notifications. 1 every 5 minutes for lyrebird.

Also it locks installers which have that "adware" so i cannot install anything. Either windows prompts "file is being used by another program" or installation cannot be completed because kaspersky detects one of the files as adware mid installation

@angry

1) Moving ' lyrebird.exe ' from [Low Resticted] to [Trusted] can cause problems 🤔

2) Concerning  ' Adware detected '  please download and run AdwCleaner as ADMIN ?

If i understood you correctly, i have no need for adwcleaner. I made these apps which are flagged as adware.

For Adware i always suggest AdwCleaner (No installation required) , the choice is on your side ...
