Can a older KTS key from 2020 be activated in 2021

Well like the title said. 

 

A friend of mine has some keys. but for 2020 10 devices.

Now my License is about to expire and i can get those key in exchange for some help. 

I want to know first if a key from 2020 1 year is any good to renew my license??

What is the validity period of the activation code?
